I spent the weekend cleaning up the floors and doing final work on the cupboards...and a lot of vacuming. Where the dog hair keeps coming from I'll never know...
Carter was even very good. Poor kid spent the entire day Sunday following us around an empty house with no toys and nothing to keep him busy. He did well - and was rewarded with a trip to Red Robins for dinner (his choice)
So, here it is...the final photos of the house - clean and ready for the painters to come in. We decided the best option for ease and our budget was to start with a clean palette. So, everything is getting primed and then painted one color - it's sort of a mix between an almond and a taupe. Warm, but light enough to keep things bright. The kitchen cupboards are going to be a light mocha color. (Steve let me pick the colors!). We're just getting the whole house primed and then one coat of color - even on the ceilings. Get things clean and pretty, and then down the road we'll add in a bit of color here and there. I like the clean look though.
Here is the kitchen (we're getting new appliances after the painting is done)

Carter's room (he was so proud to be in the photos!)
My studio and the spare room (or as Carter calls it - Auntie Nancy's room)
Our room...I forgot to take a pic before we moved the big cabinets out from the wall.AND....into the painting stages. EVERYTHING was wet, so I got crappy pics. Plus it was pitch black outside and we have no lights inside. These photos were just taken with the flash. This is the end of the primer coat. Paint tomorrow!
