Wish List

Many people have asked me this week...what does Carter want for Christmas?!
The question should be "what doesn't Carter want for Christmas?!" LOL

You can be assured that anything small will be very appreciated. However, for those few of you that reallllly pressured me...

Carter has updated his wish list at ToysRUs.com.
You can search under wish lists for him by name - Carter Lau
or by wish list number - 30946850

All these items are pretty standard at any store that sells toys.

He is also very into drawing right now.
HTH!

Christmas Concert!

Carter's school had their Christmas concert this morning. He was super excited to be participating. Here's a little video of his class...

The first one of them filing in...you can tell when Carter noticed us! LOL

and the second one of the two things they sang - well, one song and a poem

Christmas cutie outside his classroom all dressed up!

On stage...ready to sing!

A quick look back before he walked off stage!

Breakfast with Santa!

It's been a pretty long time since I've really blogged. Life has been pretty busy. Check down the next few posts though...I've uploaded lots of photos from weeks past!

Last weekend we went to Breakfast with Santa with Carter's friends Joey and Brooke. Carter had the best time! The breakfast was good (it was a church fundraiser) - lots of pancakes...regular or chocolate chip, sausage, and scrambled eggs.

I love this pic of Carter and Joey. They were playing with the train set up. Joey wanted to show Carter something and threw his arm around him. Sooo adorable!

Carter with Brooke and Joey. Carter is giving me "the look" since I told him to pose! LOL

Carter and Brooke wanted to see Santa TOGETHER. They insisted on it.

It was a very fun day - glad we went!

Christmas pix!

Here's a few shots from our Christmas photo shoot at home...

Carter being bored of taking photos. This one cracks me up though - I quite like it!

We were setting up an area to do a family shot and Carter ran up and struck this pose. It totally made us laugh. He's all about posing lately!

Just the three of us!

Adding Berkeley into the mix...she barely tolerated it! LOL

 My little Christmas elf!

And a very Christmas-y shot of Union Square in San Francisco....love shopping here during the holidays!

Thanksgiving Weekend!

Our Thanksgiving weekend was pretty tame. We cooked a small turkey, celebrated my bday, and started some Christmas prep. Here are a few highlights in photos!

Carter made a gingerbread house...and ate a lot of candy in doing so!

Dessert for Thanksgiving dinner...a bday cake for Mommy!
It was yummy - an Italian Rum cake I had requested.

Decorating the Christmas tree! Carter with his most prized Christmas decoration - his Polar Express Bell he asked for from Santa last year.

Finished Gingerbread house!

We also squeezed in a visit to Santa that weekend. Carter is asking for a Lego Train and some Lego Ninjago Spinners from Santa this year.

He was VERY serious while talking to Santa. Only smiled for the photo - otherwise it was all business!

The official mall santa photo!

Carter told us about a week after..."I think all the Santa's I see are just guys dressed up". Couldn't fool him and lie, so yes - they are all Santa's secret helpers since Santa has to stay and oversee the toy making. Made me a little sad he's already so perceptive though.

Star Wars!

Carter had a day off from school back in November, so we decided to take a little trip to LucasFilm Headquarters in the Presidio. The offices are closed to the public, but you can go into the lobby and there i tons of original Star Wars memorabilia on display. Even as a someone who is not a huge Star Wars fan...I had to admit it was kind of cool!

Carter in front of the Yoda Fountain outside the buiding...

Carter and his favorite character...Boba Fett!

Steve with Darth Vader. Carter took one look at him and refused to go any closer. He admired from about 10 feet back! LOL

Mr Serious looking at Darth...

Darth Vader's lighsaber - original from the movie! They had a lot of the lightsabers on display in cases. Hard to take pics though with the glare off the glass. Fun to look!

The lobby was set up like a little sitting room. Around the room there were couches and books to look at. Carter had up sit down and read several of them to him. He especially liked this 3D one!

Halloween Fun!

Halloween was big around our house this year. Carter was REALLY excited. Last year we missed trick-or-treating since we were in Montreal for a wedding. He was realllllly pumped to go again this year!

In the morning, all the kids at school were allowed to wear their costumes. Carter's Yoda costume wasn't very school friendly - hard to get in to and hot, so he decided to wear his Pizza costume from last year to school.

His friend Joey invited us and a few other friends to come over for Pizza dinner and trick or treat.
Getting ready to head out the door. It was chaos!
 Trick-or-Treating

Carter and Joey realllllly got into it and were running from house to house!
The insane amount of loot he came home with!

In the afternoon, they had a party at Kindergarten. Carter's teacher is very pro-healthy food, so she left them decide what party food to have that was healthy. So, the kids chose spaghetti, watermelon, oranges, and bananas with real fruit juice. They had a lot of fun! (Carter is sitting at the back to the left a bit in the photo)
 Outside playing Duck, Duck, Ghost!
 Carter's turn...
Back inside waiting for a story...
It's super nice that school is closed today - PD day for the teachers. It was great to sleep in after a busy night last night and just chill a bit today. I'm sure the teachers are happy not to have crazy sugar-high kids there too.
