The Rocketts!

Steve surprised Carter and I with tickets to go see the Radio City Music Hall Rocketts when they were here in San Jose last week. It was a super fun concert and we all enjoyed it. Carter loved the music and the dancing! Here are a couple of videos from the show...

And a few photos as well!

Preschool Christmas Concert

Tonight was Carter's preschool Christmas concert. It was pretty cute - here are some pics!

All dressed up and ready to go!
Watching the 3 year old class perform with his friend Ema.
 All primed and ready!

With his friends getting ready to sing
Exuberant singing. He seemed to go between singing really loud and clear and gawking around at everything else.
 Actions...
Jingle Bells - with jingle bells!
It was a fun evening. They followed up the concert with a birthday cake for Baby Jesus - mmm - it was YUMMY!

Christmas concert

A little video from Carter's Christmas concert at school tonight...

It's Christmastime again...

Carter learned this song completely on his own...it's been playing allllll the time on the radio, so I guess he's heard it often enough. Got a little video of him singing - and a bit of banter between us too. LOL

Top 10!

I saw this on another blog and thought it was a cool idea - list your top 10 favorite scrappy projects you made in 2010!

Here is mine, in no particular order. Some I like for the photos, some for the design, some for the papers...it was a hard call!

Holiday Train!

Yesterday we took Carter to Santa Cruz to ride their annual holiday train. It was lots of fun!

Carter is currently obsessed with the Polar Express, and really wanted to ride it. Last year I found out that they have a Polar Express train ride in Sacramento, and we thought perhaps we'd splurge and ride it this year. Well, oops - thought about it in September, and it was already sold out! So, we told Carter that this ride was like the Polar Express. I had no idea he would get THAT into it though. He told Daddy the morning of that we'd get our "golden tickets" to ride - and then we'd keep them in our shoes! LOL. So, Mommy slaved and made some "real" tickets! Funny thing is, by the time we actually got on the train, he was so excited that I think he forgot all about the Polar Express. We had a great ride however.

Here is Carter with his ticket! It was a super nice day, so we walked on the beach and boardwalk before we rode the train.
The train arriving! (We were at the back - Carter LOVES the caboose - although we ended up in the 2nd last car)
Mr. Excited - can't even look at the camera!
 Daddy and Carter
 Mommy and Carter
 Cutie!
 Here we go!!
 Sunset by the ocean...
A view once the sun went down - time lapse...about 5 minutes!
This pic didn't turn out well - flash washed it out. However, if you look close - it was SNOWING. Carter was realllllly excited. An awesome plus to sitting on one of the open cars - no closed windows, so we could catch the snowflakes!

Santa rode the train too - and gave candy to all the kids! They also had hot cider and Christmas carols. It was ADORABLE watching/listening to Carter sing along.
Santa gets off at his own station and waves goodbye!
 Parked back at the boardwalk

Carter in front of the engine (hard to tell)
...and a cute pic of our tired little boy fast asleep at home. He went to sleep singing the theme from Polar Express. It was pretty cute!
All in all, a super fun day!

Layout...

This layout makes me sad...poor little guy asleep on a hospital gurney! The photo was taken on the night of Carter's 4th birthday. He had a massive asthma attack that we couldn't get under control, so off to the ER we went.

Another LO!

I actually got some scrapping done yesterday! Woohoo! My friend Tatiana hosted a crop at her house last night and I got down to work!

This is a cute little LO of Carter seeing his first *real* movie. He was soooo excited to go see Toy Story 3 in the theatre last summer. (note: no, he didn't eat all the popcorn...it's more for effect in the pic! LOL)

Some more creations!

I've been really exicted to design for Crop Chocolate the last 6 months or so. I love the site, and if you haven't shopped there before - check it out! Crop Chocolate is a scrapbbooking "deal a day" site - although they change their product offerings several times a day. The offer discontinued merchandise at a spectacular price, and new products at a very reasonable discount. You can continue adding supplies in your cart to save on shipping - or even get it free. It's a GREAT find for any scrapbooker!

If you haven't shopped there before, and decide to - be sure to let them know Victoria Lau referred you! They even give a credit for new referrals. It's AWESOME!

You can also give out gift certificates for the site...which would be on any scrappers wish list (hint hint)

This month I was designing with the amazing Wintertime Collection from Echo Park. Crop Chocolate generally offers all the Collections from Echo Park at a very good discount. This particular collection is perfect for holiday photos, winter pics, or could make some cute Chanukah projects too!

I decided to use some older pictures of Carter playing in the snow. Winter 2007 was the first year he was really old enough to go out and see it. It figures that by the next winter we lived in California!

I also made some fun cute cards with the leftover scraps!

Thanks for looking and be sure to check out both Crop Chocolate and Echo Park Paper. You can also find them both on Facebook!

More craftiness...

I was inspired by more challenges over at Wescrap and whipped up a few more things for the season...

This card - not sure who the recipient is yet...

I made 4 of these signs for Carter's teachers (they are also getting GC's). I have been procrastinating on these FOREVER. So glad they're done!
 A cute little treat box...
