It's a Dodge!

Last Saturday we took Carter to the local "Touch A Truck" event. We went last year and he LOVED it, so we decided a repeat trip was in order. He loved running around looking at all the trucks, emergency vehicles, and "Mighty Machines" as he calls them. The kids get to look at everything, meet with the drivers, and even sit in the drivers seat.

In the tow truck (see silly story below) Wearing a helmet in the ambulance
Carter and his friend Sean on a Mighty Machine! It was hard to get them both to look!
It was a fun morning! The funniest part was Carter in the tow truck. He spent quite an amount of time just looking it over, and then decided to get in and try driving. The tow truck driver thought Carter was pretty cute with all his looking and started talking to him. Here's a bit of the conversation:
Driver: Hey, do you know what kind of car this is?
Carter: Yup, it's a DODGE!
LOL - I am 100% positive the driver was expecting Carter to say "A tow truck". He didn't know that our son is obsessed with all things with wheels. He can spot the name brand of a vehicle from miles away. I'm always hearing "There's a CRV mom", There's a KIA", and more. He KNEW that tow truck was a Dodge! LOL.
My parents rented an Altima in Hawaii, and last week we were driving around and Carter spotted another Altima (parked, and we were moving). "Hey, there's Bubby's car from Hawaii!"
(Bubby is his own concoction of a name for my dad...and it stuck!)
Boys! Will I ever figure them out??! :)

  1. Seriously, ours sons are so much alike. M. knows all the brands too and will call off all the ones he sees in the parking lot or when we are driving. He knows more than I do that's for sure!
