We headed north to Tahoe Vista for the weekend with a ton of friends from the "Lix". It was a short weekend with a lot of driving (we left Friday at 2:30, got there at 7:30, and left again Sunday am!), but we had a great time. Carter thinks it was pretty much the best weekend ever...and already is asking how many days until we go again!
We rented a big 3 bedroom + loft house and it was nice to chill out and enjoy the people and the scenery. I was UBER devastated that the hottub on the deck was broken. I was looking forward to it being the highlight of the weekend. I was encouraged to drink a LOT of wine though and that dulled my disappointment slightly...LOL
Carter and Geoffrey doing what they do best - clung together over the iPad. We heard about 100 times on the weekend how cool Geoffrey's games are. Poor Logan looking on wondering why the kids would rather look at that than play with him. (Although I think he got really tired out when they DID play with him!)
Ready for the Snow Ball fight - striking a pose!
Logan pouted a bit because he had to stay inside during the fight. (There wasn't much snow, and what was there was rock hard ice, but he didn't believe me when I told him it was better inside).
Carter and Geoffrey built a snow-fort.
They had lots of fun ganging up on Uncle Matt!
Sunday morning we headed over to Northstar and looked at the village there. Swanky! Carter was in a mood for having his photo taken - hence all the big smiles and repetitive pics!
By the skating rink...
You can ski off the mountain right into the village. Carter thought that was COOL!
He loved his ice cream place with the cute chairs, and insisted on multiple photo ops.
Random...
My honey!
Me and my sweet baby boy! (Up until this moment - 5 minutes before we left, there were no photos taken of me all weekend)
Carter took a pic of Mommy and Daddy - not bad!
Being silly!
...and as expected, 5 minutes after we got on the road!

Looks like a fun time for all concerned! Carter strikes a pose beautifully!
ReplyDeleteAnd good to see some photos of you.
