This weekend we were up in Tahoe and enrolled Carter in his very first skiiing lesson. He fell A LOT (to be expected I think), but he had a good time. By the end of the lesson he had mastered the "Magic Carpet" lift up the (small) hill, learned to pizza and slow to a stop, and also how to keep balanced and control his speed. His next lesson (date TBA...but probably a while into the future) he is excited to use the real chairlift and go down the big hill!
Getting ready in the kids club. Cute story - they wanted the kids to go in themselves and the instructors outfitted them with all their gear. Carter had snow pants, a jacket, mitts, etc to change into as well. When the lesson was done, he came running out carrying his pants (regular, not snow). He'd decided to not only wear the snowpants backwards all day (which I did notice, and wondered how comfy they were), but also to wear nothing underneath them! LOL. Good thing it was a nice warm day!
