Here are my layouts for the fair (they go side by side...but for whatever reason I can't get them to match up exactly on my blog. So, use your imagination! ;)

Our Family last Christmas

And the second one - Carter's first ski lessons!

Carter made a card as well - it's soooo adorable, and I made 2. It's too dark to photograph them though...so check back tomorrow!

Carter's First Scrapbook Pages!

Carter and I entered the County Fair this year. I usually do - mostly because for my $2 entry I get 2 free passes and a free parking pass for the fair just for entering! Pretty sweet deal ;)

This year, Carter was old enough to enter as well. He made this scrapbook layout to put in the youth exhibits catagory. We've warned him that it probably won't *win* (since kids from age 5-17) can enter. He's pretty excited to enter them regardless!

Field Tripping!

Friday was Carter's last field trip of the year. It's been a fun and educational year for him in Kindergarten. I am super impressed with his math and reading skills! All the kinder classes celebrated the end of the year with a walking field trip to Sellick Park (about 3/4 mile from the school). I was pleasantly surprised to see the weather was awesome. A little windy, but not foggy and rainy as predicted. The kids had fun and didn't even complain much over the walk!

Balloon Pop!

Back at the classroom, Steve had to snicker over this book he saw in the book bin. Naturally we had to take a pic! ;)

A good end to a good year...

Carter's kindergarten friends had a party to celebrate their kindergarten "graduation". It was sooo cute! It was at Little Gym and Super Hero themed. All the kids were invited to dress as their favorite Super Heros and the gym did lots of games that fit in with the theme. The kids had a great time. We followed it up with a potluck dinner and cake to celebrate!

Sarah and Holly Visit!

The third weekend of May has been in the plans since last fall! I was sooooo excited for Sarah and Holly to visit San Francisco! They are both friends (they're sisters!) I met through scrapbooking...and I still stand by the fact that some of my bestest friendsin the world I met through scrapbooking. Totally true in this case. These ladies ROCK! We had a great weekend together - although it was way too short.

Here's a few pics from our weekend. Friday we saw the GG bridge, toured through the Marin Headlands, and then had lunch in Sausalito. It was a little hazy out, but overall it was a perfect day to avoid the fog!

Holly and Sarah

 The three of us!

Views from the headlands - so pretty!

On Saturday we spent the day in San Jose touring the Winchester Mystery House which was cool - no pics allowed though...boo. Then we had a long lunch and chatted! That afternoon, S&H went to Alcatraz and I took a quick break to attend Carter's Kindergarten Farewell party.

That evening, Steve, Carter, and I headed back into SF for dessert with the girls. We headed to Ghiradelli Sqaure for ice cream sundaes. They were super yummy, but the line was ridiculous.

(Steve hadn't had dinner...so he grabbed a delicious crab sandwich from the Pier...I had some too! ;) )

I was really sad to see the weekend over. I didn't take a ton of pics since I knew Sarah and Holly both would (and did!). I have a CD with their pics on it though - so you'll see more in future layouts! ;)
The next week in May was a busy one!

We started off with Carter's Black Belt Club meet. Here he is learning how to use the staff - working on offensive/defensive techniques. It was a little stressful to watch two 5 year olds weilding large sticks...but they did very well!

Next up was Mother's Day. We went to brunch and shopped around a bit - then spent a lazy afternoon at home!

Carter was very excited to give me his gift...LOL!

That same day we found this silly note in Carter's room. Totally cracked me up, so we had to take a pic!
So...my sister has been giving me a hard time about not updating my blog. It has been a month! Yikes! It was definitely a busy month though...so the next few posts will be sharing what we did!

The month started off with Steve's birthday on May 5th. We didn't do much out of the ordinary (aka - took Carter to karate!). We did go for dinner though, had presents, and cake!
