We also walked across the Golden Gate Bridge. I was soooo proud of Carter. He walked the whole bridge in both directions AND he was wearing his braces. Steve and I both carried him for a few minutes here and there, but he walked almost the entire 5 miles all by himself with no complaining.
The surprise reward at the end?? Carter spied R2D2 hanging around and we got to go up close and see him. He thought it was soooo cool. He looks slightly nervous only because we warned him to look, not touch!
Another big milestone for Carter - he finished his weekly physical therapy! The braces are doing their job and he no longer needs to go for his visits. He and I were both really sad to say goodbye to his therapist Hetty - she is super sweet and so good with Carter. It's great to know he's doing better though. Hopefully the braces will be off by the end of summer!
