Happy Mother's Day!
Happy Mother's Day to all my mommy friends! Hope you're having a great day! Here's a layout I did for the Nook contest for my All About Me album. A photo of Carter and I on my first Mother's Day! We drove to Ottawa for the day and went to the Tulip Festival there. So fun!

Carter had tons of fun at the birthday party this morning. Actually I did too - so much to do, great food, and great friends!

No scrapbooking for me today...it's a busy one!
We're off to a birthday party for Carter this morning. Should be very fun - a farm themed party with pony rides, petting zoo, and more. I'll take photos! For only living here for 6 months, my little boy sure is popular - he's already been to several parties. He's already asking when it's his birthday! :)
This afternoon/evening I'm headed out with my friend Gina for an early Mother's Day treat for both of us - a girly night out! Chick flick, dinner, and a few drinks. Should be very fun!
Tomorrow I'm getting spoiled some more! Steve and Carter are taking me out for brunch.

Most of my energy today has been taken up by a certain 2 year old who once again is sick! Where he picks up all these colds I don't know...sigh.
I did manage to squeeze in a little scrapbooking time though (while I should have been cleaning the house). I joined a 5 week long contest over at the Scrapbook Nook (http://www.myscrapbooknook.com/) a few days ago. We're only a few days in and already the competition is pretty intense. The winner gets a 6month DT contract there! Since leaving the DT at Scrapbook Star (http://www.scrapbookstar.ca/) last fall I've missed the DT comraderie as well as the challenge of working with a kit each month. I'm not-so-secretly hoping I might get the DT spot, or at least one of the guest spots...but really, there is some talent out there, and I know deep down I'm probably just participating for the fun of it. At least I'll get some layouts done!
